Sherrie Timoll-Mueller, MEd, PhD

Dr. Sherrie Timoll-Mueller is a Lead Faculty member in the Center for Enhancement of First-Year Experience within the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She holds a BEd in English Language Education from the University of the West Indies, an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction in Technology from Grand Canyon University, and a PhD in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Ashford University. She has extensive experience in curriculum design and instructional practices in both the traditional and online settings. For over a decade, she worked in the K-12 setting and then transitioned to higher education where she has focused on educating first-year students. She strongly believes in education as a tool for upward mobility and the value of online education as a vehicle for achieving that goal. Her research interests include interaction in online learning environments, the role of technology in education, and online student success factors. Dr. Timoll-Mueller lives in Iowa with her husband and children and enjoys reading, traveling, and home improvement projects in her spare time.
