Biography
Karin Parramore has been interested in herbal medicine her entire life and purchased her first book on herbal medicine at the age of 7. After a life of studying, she realized she could actually be an herbalist and obtained Chartered Herbalist status from Dominion Herbal College in 2001. In addition, she has been a practicing aromatherapist since 2002. Karin graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine (now National University of Natural Medicine) with an MSOM in Chinese Medicine and holds a license to practice acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
Most recently, Karin has been adjunct faculty at the East West College of the Healing Arts (Biomedical Pathology), adjunct faculty at the National University of Natural Medicine (Cosmology and Symbolism, Aromatherapy and Chinese Medicine, Facial Acupuncture and Aromatherapy), and guest lecturer at the Helfgott Research Institute. Additionally, Karin is the author of two books on aromatherapy and Chinese medicine.
Karin's core teaching philosophy revolves around finding where the teacher and student can connect in order to shape the material to maximize learning. As connecting with others is Karin's strongest skill, her students regularly share how easily they are able to absorb the information in her classes.
