Biography

Dr. Conni Whitten is the Program Chair for the Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management BAHRM and the Master of Human Resource Management MHRM programs in the Forbes School of Business and Technology at the University of Arizona Global Campus.

She earned a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership with a specialty in Human Resource Development at Nova Southeastern University. Her Master’s degree is in Public Administration from Central Michigan University and she graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Dr. Whitten has an extensive background in both private and public organizations. Her career began in the insurance and medical services industries. She then worked for 20 years as a risk management and operations administrator in K-12 public education. Conni then moved from K-12 to higher education and has been in online learning as an instructor for the past 14 years.

Conni continues to research and focus on personal and professional development within the adult education structure with an emphasis on student centered experiential learning and empowerment. She enjoys interacting with adult learners and believes the University of Arizona Global Campus offers a nicely structured format that benefits both the student and the instructor. She says, “The students I’ve had the pleasure to share with know and understand that my number one priority is their success. I am proud to be their learning partner during our time together, and I will do everything within my ability to move them to a positive ending – as long as they are willing to do their part.”
