Avisha Sadeghinejad, DBA, MBA
Lead Faculty - Associate Professor
Dr. Avisha Sadeghinejad is a Lead Faculty and Associate Professor in the Forbes School of Business & Technology at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC). She holds a doctoral degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from Golden Gate University. She received the Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year Award from Ageno School of Business at Golden Gate University. She also holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology, the Digital Marketing Analytics certificate from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Certified e-Marketing, and Certified Social Marketing Associate certifications from eMarketing Association.
Prior to joining UAGC, Dr. Sadeghinejad worked as the marketing officer at a startup company where she developed and implemented a strategic marketing plan with an emphasis on email marketing, video-email marketing, and marketing automation. In addition, she spent some years in the food industry where she practiced strategic marketing, brand management, market research, and market analysis. As a consumer behavior consultant, she pioneered her company’s first customer advocacy program. A few well-known global brands that she handled are NUK® of Germany (products for nursing mothers, babies, and children) and Familia® Muesli of Switzerland (breakfast granola). /p>
Living and working in a few different countries has shown Dr. Sadeghinejad that the world is all about diversity, and that being open-minded, welcoming, and patient is the key to happiness and success. “For a teacher, every day is different. When you teach, you are also constantly learning, and that is the beauty of this career in my opinion. I believe that passion and enthusiasm are contagious. If you are a teacher who is passionate about learning, you always learn with and from your students which helps them as well develop this passion by example.” For her students, she gives this advice: “Knowledge is the most precious treasure you can ever collect, so learn something new every day.”
Dr. Sadeghinejad has led the development of the BA in Marketing program (BAM) at the Forbes School of Business & Technology and has designed and developed several graduate and undergraduate courses with an innovative and engaging approach.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading books, practicing Persian calligraphy, and piano.
