Commencement is a time of celebration and reflection for Ashford University* graduates. As they make the journey with their families to San Diego, California, they have an opportunity to think about just how far they’ve come since the first day they began classes.
Graduating from college — at any stage of your life — is a tremendous accomplishment. This year’s crop of 1,694 graduates participating in the Fall 2019 commencement ceremony come from all over the world, including 47 U.S. states (and the District of Columbia), Germany, Japan, American Samoa, and Guam. The majority of them are adult learners, some with military backgrounds, others who returned to school after taking years off to work and raise families. One of this year’s graduates has earned a degree at 71 years old, while the youngest turned 21 during her college journey*. Though they come from different backgrounds and experiences, they are all united as members of Ashford’s global campus.
To honor the achievements of the Fall 2019 graduating class, we’re breaking down the numbers that make up this incredible group of individuals.
The infographic below demonstrates the diversity of their achievements, who they are, and the degree programs that will propel them into the next stage of their lives.
