
Sherrie Timoll-Mueller, MEd, PhD

Biography
Dr. Sherrie Timoll-Mueller is a lead faculty member in the Center for Enhancement of First-Year Experience within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She holds a BEd in English language education from the University of the West Indies, an MEd in curriculum and instruction in technology from Grand Canyon University, and a PhD in curriculum, instruction, and assessment from Ashford University*. She has extensive experience in curriculum design and instructional practices in both the traditional and online settings. For over a decade, she worked in the K-12 setting and then transitioned to higher education where she has focused on educating first-year students. She strongly believes in education as a tool for upward mobility and the value of online education as a vehicle for achieving that goal. Her research interests include interaction in online learning environments, the role of technology in education, and online student success factors. Dr. Timoll-Mueller lives in Iowa with her husband and children and enjoys reading, traveling, and home improvement projects in her spare time.
