Biography
Dr. Bathke received his B.A. from Yale University in Arabic and Islamic Studies, and later he earned his law degree from the UCLA School of Law. Having taught at Ashford University, now the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), since 2012, Dr. Bathke has also been teaching online since 2004. Some of the other educational institutions he has taught for include the University of San Diego, San Diego State University, California State University at San Bernardino, UCLA Extension, Alliant International University, and Kumeyaay Community College. In addition to his teaching background, Dr. Bathke has experience in the public sector, previously working for two different tribal governments in Southern California and Arizona. Dr. Bathke participates in the UAGC Presidential Change Advisory Group, which addresses issues of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). John Bathke helped co-develop the UAGC DEI Course Audit Rubric, which examines issues of DEI representation within UAGC curriculum. Currently, Dr. Bathke is a Core Faculty member of the Masters of Arts in Organizational Management program within the Forbes School of Business and Technology®.
