A Culture of Care is important because people matter. We (each of us) haven’t experienced what every other person has experienced, we haven’t walked their path, so it is essential that we learn how to respect the journey of every person.

Biography

Dr. Miller, is an Evaluation Officer with the Children’s Service Council of Palm Beach County Florida, studying program impact on the lives of children and families, and Associate (adjunct) Faculty at the University of Arizona Global Campus, teaching graduate-level human services courses. A U.S. Navy veteran, her background includes direct services in child welfare, legal aspects of child welfare, and non-profit services. Her professional experience centers around trauma/resiliency, attachment, adoption search, bullying, and both early childhood and dependency drug courts. She was recently published in the Juvenile and Family Court Journal regarding early adolescence as the second-most critical attachment period.
